Finally! It was our first adventure out of the city throughout my stay in college. Last December 14, my friends and I went to trip down South as my best friend treated us for her 18th birthday last November. Due to conflicts and whatsoever, there was only the four of us. We decided to go to Tagaytay first, then head to Enchanted Kingdom after. We went on a trip hoping that the gloomy weather would cooperate with us, since there was a storm in our midst. Well, it did. Somehow.
It’s a Thursday, and for the first time, I’ve decided to do a throwback blog post for today. I started this blog around late November and there were those days in the previous months that are blog-worthy that I couldn’t simply let them pass. I might do more of this in the future, but I’ll still see about that. But for the meantime, I’m going to take you guys back to October 23 – the day of our field trip for our KASPIL2 class.
I needed an escape from the hell of a term I was going through. I wanted to go somewhere far from Metro Manila, and the field trip was just enough to satisfy that urge. Plus, I also needed extra points to boost my final grade for this class, so there. It was my second field trip in college – the first was to Lian, Batangas for my SCIENVB class way back in freshman year with my blockmates. This time, our itinerary was to head northbound.
The first term of my junior year was such a drag that it almost felt like it took forever to end. Well, finally, it’s over. No more system to code and debug, no more virtual machines to configure, no more essays to write – freedom from schoolwork at its finest.
Today was such a fulfilling day. It was also the first time I had so much fun in a long while. I can’t remember any hangouts or what that were a) not during lunch breaks or after class, b) far from school or not affiliated with school, and c) just for the sake of hanging out. Throughout the term, the only getaway I had was a field trip for our Philippine history class.
